My artwork is sugary sweet and satisfying to the eye yet is just as peculiar as they are charming. I use imagery that reference simple, beautiful icons that are seen as purely decorative. I need to make and have idealistic romantic objects of extravagant excess. The deeply gouged plates, juiciness of the ink, and decorative feminine symbols that have been traditionally associated with the feminine, explores the relationship between pristine loveliness and a tarnished coarseness in a way that is not necessarily oppositional. I want the end products to become tangible fantasies that question what is considered precious, needed, or necessary.

I am a committed maker who gives all the attention to the nuances of the materials and processes. I have a sincere fascination with impractical, surprising, absurd natures of using a multiple. I make so many things because of my ingrained idea that two is better than one, three is better than two, and so on in addition to a compulsive need to please. The work creates a situation where someone can find at least one that they could love and adore.
